Biography

Myrto Vratsanou is an artist based in Athens and Copenhagen. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, the Sandberg Institute and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne on a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. She has been awarded a Kickstarter Grant from the Stiftung Kunstfonds and an Artworks Fellows award from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Her practice revolves around the haunted, sensual aspects of digital and physical spaces, employing metaphors through object-making, drawing, writing and film, to explore material histories, fictions, temporalities and traditions.
