Una película sin película / A film without a film
A performative conference for Domingo, festival curated by Fernando Gandasegui in La Casa Encendida, Madrid, in 2021, and SECUENCIA, festival curated by Fernando Gandasegui and Marc Vives in Fabra I Coats, Barcelona, 2022, working with the remains of an unresolved past in the political Transition in Spain. A film recorded in a void, containing more than what its images contained. It is the film that we never watched, through which we have thinked recent history the most. The images of that film have disappeared, but they continue to appear now. There is a fascinating series of coincidences and signs that are making them appear. It's like a constant bypass between the present of the past, and the past of the present. Like a dehistorialization of history. Between what was believed to be identitarian in the now, and the biographical of those people who lived through the political Transition in Spain. "Well, for example, someone would ring the doorbell, and it would never be seen, and they would go through all the rooms and always the camera behind. And you would only see shadows. And he would go out through one place and enter through another. And then the door opens and the camera begins to chase the ghost throughout the house without finding the person the camera is following”
