Welcome to Home Cinema, streaming moving image works by young and emerging artists live to you near, far or wherever you are. What can we see together when we cannot see each other? Home Cinema will be periodically activated through collaborations and open calls. Home Cinema is a streaming and screening platform at the intersection of film and art, experimenting with combinations of online and offline presence to provide new modes of cinematic experience and public access. Home Cinema was born from a need to define common spaces for moving-image distribution. As visual artists and designers ourselves — working with moving-image and platforms — we ask ourselves how moving-image works respond to our present times through the subjective. We want to sense the urgency and immediacy in regard to the socio-political, technological, and economic context of these works.
