CREATURE 1: Oh my God my fucking back is hurting. CREATURE 2: Oh my fucking God mine too. (Silence) CREATURE 2: And my neck too. CREATURE 1: My neck is hurting too. CREATURE 2: Is your pain more like, short bursts of sharp pain. Like a knife, or like a needle. But not as sharp as the proboscis of a mosquito, because that wouldn’t really hurt because you cannot feel that. Or more of an annoying soft pounding. Or more like an itch. CREATURE 1: More like a heavy pain, but full, but constant. Enough to complain about it but not enough to actually see a doctor. Because I’m so busy with my job. The same job that you have. The job of an archeologist. CREATURE 2: That is the job I also have. And that is the job we are doing now. CREATURE 1: Do you love your job? CREATURE 2: I love my job. I love digging in dirt and finding human residue that I don’t really understand. But I sure love coming home to my wife more! I love when she cooked for me and I love when it’s meat. -------------------- Video part of One Minutes' series 'Martians Send Videos Home' curated by Joseph Popper with screenings at Betty Jane, Amsterdam (NL) Dortmunder U (DE) East China Normal University, Shanghai (CN) Mu, Eindhoven (NL) Museum Hilversum (NL) Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam (NL) De School, Amsterdam (NL)
