I want to erase the category of goalness, of specific futures, of end points and of finalities from political discourse and replace it with a form of directed longing. Filling the void of empty futures with a multitude of abstract possibilities lets us see time in a different, more fractal and less monolithic way. It seems as if there was never a specific goal in the first place. Only process, production and struggle. Deleuze & Guattari write: “If we must still speak of Utopia in this [a la Fourier], it is most assuredly not as an ideal model, but as revolutionary action and passion.” This is an action towards something that is deliberately kept in shadows. A deep drive and conscious construction of desires like curiosity and empathy. We explore our surroundings and improvise music in it.
