Mariel Williams and Andoni Zamora Chacartegu, alumni of Studio for Immediate Spaces, present the performance Repeat, Represent, Assist at Schouwburg Amstelveen on Wednesday, 21 June, 19:30.

From March 2023, this young artist duo have been invited for an Artist Residency in Schouwburg Amstelveen. From their background in spatial practice and performance, they researched the building and how it is used by the public and employees. A theater is often used in clearly defined partitions: lobby, backstage, offices, and theater halls where the audience and performers come together. The space for fiction. Mariel and Andoni investigate how you can more fluidly experience these spaces. How can we break open the strict distinctions of our architecture? Who is a part of the audience? Where does the performance begin and end? What future dreams still live in these halls?
