Misfires

Misfires explores the notion of contemporary loneliness and sadness. Traveling from the depression diaries of Ren Hang and the lectures of Jiddu Krishnamurti on loneliness to "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears and the feminist critical writing of Ann Cvetkovich in "Depression: A Public Feeling", it creates a textual collage and builds a dialogue between body and textuality. How can the interpretation of contemporary sadness be informed by the performative body?
