Impatience

Performance at Hectolitre, Brussels, 21.08.2021. A continuous 35 minute live music divided into five parts, the performance acts as an associative soundtrack to the film "Impatience" (Charles Dekeukeleire, 1928, Belgium), which was projected simultaneously in the space. The result was a meditative journey, growing from experimental ambient through wavy spoken word and singing, up to the final climax. Therefore a narrative, not present in the film, was created by the music. The performance is somewhere in between a concert and performance art, where the listeners/viewers can choose to focus on the film, the live music, or go deeper into themselves.
