Remaking TV Cello

Remaking TV Cello is a reconsideration of Nam June Paik’s TV Cello; whereas Paik constructed his TV Cello out of three disassembled CRT television screens and plexiglass, this version makes use of two LCD screens and a tablet. The work acts to both question and investigate Paik’s original, focussing attention on, for example, how the work produces the virtual and how it does this differently when using contemporary (image making) technology.
