El amor duerme sobre el pecho del poeta
The beloved sleeps on the poet's chest. This video has the title of a Federico García Lorca poem, one of the works of the poet where it's more clear the representation of homosexual love. García Lorca is an iconic author that was murdered by Franco during the Civil War in 1936 because of his sexual orientation. He became a symbol of resistance for the lgtbq+ community in Spain. The action that appear in the video is meant to be a performance, being this video the result of a work under Covid conditions. The performance, which would be execute by a number of performers between 5 to 10, is related with the concept of resistance within the gay community that I experienced. And certain practices related to the development of intimacy, seduction, affection or love. All in relation with identity as individuals and groups.
